It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Syed Irshad Gilani, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, February 12. He suffered from a severe heart attack on November 1, and was in the cardiac ICU for 103 days. He put up a brave fight and never lost hope. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Irshad touched many lives with his love for knowledge, his passion for spreading the message of Allah, and his phenomenal sense of humor.

May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) have mercy on his soul, forgive him, and grant him the highest level in Paradise.

Janazah Details:

The Janazah prayer will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 after Dhuhr congregation prayer at 1:00 PM at Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah (1541 Russell Cave Rd, Lexington, KY 40505).

Burial will follow at the Muslim Cemetery of Central Kentucky (MCCK), 3427 Georgetown Rd, Lexington, KY 40511.

Condolence Visitation Details:

The condolence visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Masjid Bilal from 4-6 PM.
